Q: What about sleep apnoea (apnea) and CPAP?

A:If you think you have OSA, you should seek medical advice.

Q: How does Ripsnore™ prevent snoring?

A: The most common cause of snoring is an airway that is partially constricted due to muscles at the back of your tongue relaxing as you go to sleep. When air passes through, it causes the palate to vibrate and create noise. Ripsnore™ moves the jaw forward, opening the airway, preventing the vibration, and saving your sanity.

Q: Is Ripsnore™ easy to fit?

A: Absolutely! Ripsnore™ comes with a complete list of simple, step-by-step instructions to help you fit the device.

Q: Will Ripsnore™ fit my mouth?

A: Ripsnore™ has been designed to fit all sizes. If for any reason it's too large, the ends can be easily trimmed off (this is generally not required).

Q: How many times can I remold my Ripsnore™?

A: Your Ripsnore™ can be remolded up to 5 times. If you need to re-fit the device more than 3 times, use the second Ripsnore™ provided.

Q: My Ripsnore™ seems to have stopped working, why?

A: The device may have stretched slightly. Simply remold it according to the instructions.

Q:My Ripsnore™ falls out during my sleep or does not seems to work, what can I do?

A: Try remolding the device but this time biting really hard into the device and at the same time pressing very firmly through your lips onto the teeth and gums. This will give the device a very tight fit and increase the chances of success. Also if the device is a bit too big, the ends can be trimmed to make it smaller. The main cause for a device not working is an incorrect fitting from the molding process. The device should have very clear imprints of your teeth for it to be most effective.

Q: How do I clean my Ripsnore™?

A: To clean the device, simply place it under fresh running water.

Q: What is the white spacer for?

A: The spacer is used only during the fitting process to keep the front breathing holes open. Remove the spacer when using the Ripsnore™ to allow breathing through your mouth.

Q: Will I experience any discomfort when I first use Ripsnore™?

A: At first you might experience some minor discomfort in the joint at the back of the jaw. This should go away as the jaw gets more accustomed to settling into the forward position. There also may be some slight discomfort in your teeth as they help hold the jaw forward. This feeling will also diminish over time.

Q: My jaw feels as though it's pushed forward-is this normal?

A: This is a common feeling experienced shortly after you remove the device. Your jaw will move back naturally and quickly-and the longer you use Ripsnore™ the more you'll get used to this sensation.

Q: Will I still be able to breath through my mouth when using Ripsnore™?

A: Yes, the device has been exclusively designed with 2 structural breathing spaces in the front.

Q: Who is able to use Ripsnore™?

A: All adults-male and female-are able to use the device. It has been designed to cater for all types of mouth shapes and sizes, and can be fitted accordingly.

Q: Can people with dentures use this product?

A: As long as you have healthy gums and normally wear snuggly fitting dentures at night-without any signs of irritation-there is a reasonable chance Ripsnore™ may work for you.

Q: How long will Ripsnore™ last?

A: Customer feedback indicates that Ripsnore™ will be effective from 3-18 months. The lifespan depends upon the amount of stretching that the device experiences keeping the jaw in a forward position. Once the device is "stretched out," it will need to be replaced. The second device you receive will help ensure you get the most use between orders.

Q: Would it be helpful to ask my dentist to fit my device?

A: Ripsnore™ has been carefully designed to be easily fitted. However, there is no reason why your dentist can't be involved. Your dentist can also give a professional opinion about whether or not your teeth are suitable for a jaw advancer.

Q:How did you determine the 98% success rate?

A: Our own independent study conducted in September 2009, found that users of the device had a 98% success rate (after final adjustment) in the device stopping or reducing their snoring as deemed successful by the participant. The study was conducted by Dr. Kay Cormie, Dental Practitioner, BDSc, University of Queensland. Furthermore, we surveyed 300 customers between September 2009 and November 2009, taking a sample of 100 customers per month and asked whether they found the device successful in stopping or reducing their snoring to the point of where the customers did not require a refund. The actual success rates were 97%, 97% and 99% which gives an average success rate of 98%.

Q:What is the FDA approved material that the device is made from?

A:The RIPSNORE device is made from a material known as Dynaflex. Dynaflex G2706 thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound from GLS Corporation (made with Kraton polymer) has been approved to be used in applications that require United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) XIX class VI certification.
